CAST Launches ‘Library of AI Experiments’ for Nonprofits
5th August 2025
Digital charity CAST has launched a new learning library for non-profit organisations experimenting with AI (Artificial Intelligence). The Library of AI Experiments is the latest offering from their free digital resources, which you can access here: wearecast.org.uk/our-work/free-digital-resources/library-of-experiments
What Is The Library of AI Experiments?
CAST’s new digital resource is a growing library of different charity projects using AI. The library helps to showcase AI’s range of applications for the third sector, from The Wildlife Trust using AI to visualise re-wilded land, to Citizens Advice using AI to automate case notes. It aims to help charities to see how they too could be using AI, and learn from previous experiments in the library.
AI & The Charity Sector
AI is proving to be the latest technical revolution that can enhance the speed and efficiency with which we work. However, across the UK’s charity sector, AI is still yet to take hold. In Charity Digital’s Skills Report for 2025, 48% of the charity sector is still exploring AI tools, and are yet to implement them into their organisation. This new library may help to accelerate the adoption of AI across all not-for-profit organisations.
How We Use AI at London Calling
We use AI for the development and constant curation of the London Calling website. Our AI tool has been developed in partnership with Good With Data, who work to implement ethical AI use for social good. Our tool automatically reads our partners’ websites and summarises their events and funding opportunities, listing them automatically on our website. We have also taught it to categorise these further, to help you better navigate events, training, and funding opportunities relevant to you and your organisation.
